The resolution was before the Senate on reconsideration. 2000-04-19 Senate Journal Page 3302 HJR 60 Senator Halford moved that the resolution be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 2. Without objection, the resolution was returned to second reading. Senator Halford offered Amendment No. 2 : Page 2, line 30: Delete . Insert ; and be it Page 2, line 30: Insert FURTHER RESOLVED that the Alaska State Legislature urges the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to consider negotiating reasonable purchases of private property within proposed critical habitat on the Y-K Delta rather than preclude responsible economic uses of these lands through agency regulatory actions. Senator Halford moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 2. Objections were heard. The question being: Shall Amendment No. 2 be adopted?
